syncNscan is a cloud based backup, anti-theft security software and mobile insurance service. syncNscan stores all your phone contacts, call logs, SMS, calendar and photos, videos onto cloud server. All of your backed up data can be restored to another mobile device. If you lose your phone, it can help you find your phone, it can remotely activate the alarm, lock your phone and wipe your personal data.

What operating systems does syncNscan currently run on?

syncNscan currently runs on all the versions of Android, iOS and Windows operating systems.

Is this service available worldwide?

Yes, the service is available worldwide.

What if I forget my syncNscan login PIN?

Click on Forgot PIN on your phone. Your main trusted friend will receive a message with a temporary PIN to assist you.

How do I report errors in the application to the syncNscan team?

To report an error, please email to support@syncnscan.com. Provide detailed information by choosing ‘Settings’ and then ‘Send Log’ from syncNscan app to help further.

Are there any limitations to the size of my backup?

Currently, there are no limitations to the size of your backup. We provide unlimited data backup.

How secure is my data?

Your data is securely stored and encrypted on the server using military grade encryption technologies.

How does syncNscan affect battery life?

syncNscan has minimal impact on battery life as observed in phones worldwide.

Can I use syncNscan without a data connection?

No, syncNscan uses GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi connections to connect to the syncNscan cloud service.

Why do I need to provide the number of a ‘Trusted Friend'?

Your trusted friend’s phone number is required so that when your phone is lost or stolen:
• Trusted Friends are automatically informed if the SIM is changed
• Trusted Friends can remotely locate your phone
• Trusted Friends can remotely activate an alarm on your phone
• Trusted Friends can remotely lock your phone and wipe your data

Are videos backed up with syncNscan?

Yes, it does cover messages, contacts, call logs, images, videos and calendar. We will soon support more file types like pdf, doc etc.

Does syncNscan backup MMS?

No, syncNscan does not backup MMS.

Do I need a computer to use syncNscan?

A computer is not required to use syncNscan. The information on the syncNscan cloud can be viewed using the browser on your phone.

What does insurance cover?

Insurance covers theft by violent means, accidental damage & liquid damage for new & refurbished phones. For more details, refer policy document.

What is the claim registration process?

Customers can intimate claims department at claims@syncNscan.com and file their claim. Upon successful registration of claim, customers have to send scanned documents to this email id.

Can we purchase syncNscan offline?

Currently, No.

Can we purchase syncNscan online?

Yes, you can purchase it online by visiting syncnscan.com. Also, it can be purchased through various online shopping stores like Amazon, Shopclues, Snapdeal, Flipkart and eBay.

Which payment menthods can be used to purchase it?

How can customers activate syncNscan on their phones?

Customers, who have purchased from syncnscan.com, can follow these steps to activate syncNscan:
• Visit syncnscan.com
• Click ‘Show My Plan’ or go to 'Show My Plan' page
• Select their suitable plan. Fill their personal details and make the payment
• As soon as payment is done, they will receive software activation steps on their registered email address to activate syncNscan on their phone
• Customers receive insurance confirmation email on their registered email address, along with the username/PIN for login to web interface i.e. syncnscan.com.

Customers, who have purchased from online shopping websites, can follow these steps to activate syncNscan:
• Purchase from shopping wesbites
• As soon as syncNscan team receives order, they process & ship it
• Customers receive order, as per the delivery date/time, given by the online store
• Customers to follow instructions given in the packet, sent by syncNscan team, to activate syncNscan on their phone

The validity of the insurance is 1 Year from the invoice date of mobile.

Yes. This product is valid for new mobiles as well as for refurbished mobiles having manufacturer warranty.
